Joseph's song

I love this Christmas song from Joseph's perspective.  Hope you enjoy!

How could it be
this baby in my arms
sleeping now, so peacefully
the Son of God, the angel said
How could it be?

Lord I know
he's not my own
not of my flesh
not of my bone
Still Father let, this baby be
the son of my love.

Father show me where I fit into this plan of yours
How can a man be father to the son of God?
Lord for all my life I've been a simple carpenter
How can I raise a king?
How can I raise a king?

He looks so small
his face and hands so fair
and when he cries the sun just seems to disappear
and when he laughs, it shines again
How could it be?

Father show me where I fit into this plan of yours
How can a man be father to the son of God?
Lord for all my life I've been a simple carpenter
How can I raise a king?
How can I raise a king?

How could it be
this baby in my arms
sleeping now, so peacefully
the son of God, the angel said
How could it be?
How could it be?

  1. That was such a neat song! I had never heard it before. It does give you something to think about. It reminded of Pastor's message a couple of weeks ago regarding Mary and Joseph's perspectives upon finding out that Mary was expecting God's Son. It was a real blessing and quite thought provoking as well just like this song.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Love you all

  2. The video has been blocked from our country it says. I read the words though, and it does make you wonder what his thoughts were concerning his relationship to this baby in his arms.

    Love you
