Finally home

A very dear man has finally gone home to be with his Saviour. At the age of 93, Pastor Fred Howard had touched many lives and led many to Christ. He officiated my parents wedding, baptized me, encouraged me to become the church pianist and then organist of our church, and officiated at our wedding. Under his teaching I learned much and he led by example. Although he will be missed among us, we rejoice at his homegoing!!

  2. Alissa, how wonderful that you would honour Pastor Howard on your blog.He will be dearly missed, but the last few years were not healthy ones.I loved him so much as my Pastor.Because of his teaching, example, his love for the Lord and His Word, and his great FAITH,that helped me to accept Christ as my Saviour as a young teen.I was around the age of ten perhaps when we started attending Knollwood Baptist Church.I have always thought of him as my pastor down through the years. He married us,baptized us,baptized 2 of our 3 children, married our daughter and her husband, attended and participated in our sons' wedding, was not well enough to attend our youngest daughters' wedding. It was a privilege to serve the Lord, and to have our children brought up under his ministry. He loved his Lord with all his heart and now he can see Him face to face.We rejoice in his home going ,knowing he will hear,"Well done my good and faithful servant"

  3. Isn't it great to know such godly men? Sorry to hear of his passing but thankful for the man he was, the example he lived, the lives he touched, and the souls he saved. Without knowing him, I can tell from you what you said, he was all these things and more.
