God's goodness through neighbors

We went for our evening walk around the block tonight. Half way around, one of our friendly neighbors stopped us and took us through his garden and let the kids pick vegetables to their hearts content!! He let us fill up a bucket of tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and gave us some beans that have already been picked, cut and frozen. The kids loved it!

Our daughter was baking again today. She made some dark chocolate fudge cake cookies. They are soooo tempting but I'm sticking to my 'diet' of no sugar! (Ok...so I had to try ONE but that was it :)

And here are some more of baby girl. I never get tired of taking their pictures!

  1. That is so wonderful how your neighbor shared the vegetables and let the kids pick them!! What a great experience for them! Our little baker is doing so well! That would be quite the temptation! :) That is such a cute picture of her and also cute pictures of our baby girl!!! I'm glad you don't get tired of taking pictures because I enjoy seeing them! :)

  2. You have some very nice neighbours! God blessed both of you in their giving and your receiving. The vegetables look good especially the yellow tomatoes, yummy!! How nice the kids got to share in that. It would be fun if the kids made a veggie thank you card for them, with cut outs of the veggies they received.
Good pictures of the youngest. Looks like she is cutting more teeth.
Our little baker is having a great time isn't she? It is good to see her training in homemaking skills. They do look good!! Maybe you should have had her bake your flags cake. OK...OK... I was just joking.*smile* I will enjoy the monkey cake tomorrow for our boys' birthday party.
    Love you all

  3. Yes, that's the first thing the kids did when they got home was make cards. Hopefully we will deliver them today :)
