The volcano is made out of fondant with streaks of brown made from icing coloring all sitting on top of a paper towel roll. The lava is cherry pie filling. The rocks are chocolate rocks, and it's a marble cake. The lady from church was happy with the cake when she picked it up.
My goodness, it is so hard to believe he is 3 already - they are all growing much too fast - the pictures are really nice to see and it is almost like being there... you did an excellent job on the cake Alissa and I am not sure how talented your Dad is at making cakes - here all this time I thought it was my cake decorating skills you inherited...lol ... just teasing - you have done a really great job at teaching yourself how to do this and far exceed the ones I did...and yes I do know your Dad has many talents. I am sure I will hear about them after this...lol... Love to all
