UPDATE: and that is why I hate taking the kids to the doctor!! You pay money for them to say "if it doesn't improve in a day or two bring them back in (oh yeah......you'll have to pay for that visit too!!)
So they did a throat swab on her. She has very swollen tonsils and white patches all in her mouth BUT the strep test came back negative. If her fever doesn't improve tomorrow, they want to do a Mono test. Mono???? A 2 year old? I'm just praying whatever it is, I don't get it!! High fevers are bad for developing babies and I can't imagine having to take meds every 4 hours for days and days....please pray I will be protected from this and our girl starts to have improvement today :)
Hi Sweetheart
ReplyDeleteI have been praying that the Lord will give the Doc wisdom, and give the little on proper med.
Love Dad
We definitely are praying! I've never heard of a child that age getting Mono. I guess they didn't think it was her tonsils even though they were swollen? Thanks for the update. We're praying for your protection from this and for quick recoveries for our sick little ones.
ReplyDeleteLove to you all
Praying for you sweetheart. You certainly do not want to get what they have, and yet your a mother. You are around them constantly taking care of them. Sorry to hear things didn't go well at the doctor today. Maybe you should wear a mask, just a thought. Hope everyone feels better soon. Love you.
ReplyDeletePraying for you all, sis.
ReplyDeleteI tried to leave a message last night but the Blog would not accept it. We are continuing to pray for you all as it seems all except dad and Kyle are sick. :( We will continue to pray they stay well and Ksenna's fever will go down and stay. You can always put her in a tepid bath and that should bring the temp down a little quicker. It seems the doc could have pricked her finger to see if she had a bacterial infection, or if they thought it was a virus. If it was bacterial, maybe all the kids have the same bacteria just exhibiting different symptoms. I know you are extremely tired and so very weary with no sleep and almost everyone sick. We had weeks like that with 4 boys, Joe and I and it was not easy. :( We will continue to pray for you all and especially you, Alissa, and your newest baby daughter-to-be. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Love, hugs and prayers for speedy recoveries. Please also inform us of Kaleb's arm. It sounds like it is broken and you don't want to let it "set" wrong. Love you all!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
